Manav Sadhna is an NGO based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India), on the peaceful grounds of the Gandhi Ashram, which is located on the banks of the Sabarmati River. Manav Sadhna serves hundreds of thousands of members in the surrounding community, mostly children slum dwellers and their parents/families, with an eye toward love, compassion and selfless service (seva). The bedrock of MS's work is providing value-based education and healthy meals to nearly 9,000 slum children and 800 mothers daily. The organization currently runs 32 projects including a vast network of Ashram Shaalas (primary schools), Bal Sanskars (preschool/kindergarten), Parivaryan Mitra (economic empowerment for women), and a Community Center. Volunteers and visitors are always encouraged to visit Manav Sadhna; for many, just bearing witness to the community and to the work that is being done, is life-affirming, if not life-changing.
Dearest Sheena, You have made such an impact on my life as well as anyone who has ever come in contact with you. You have been so kind and patient and one of the most selfless people I know. I feel badly for your daughter but how fortunate she was to have spent some quality time with you in India last winter. What a special gift that was for both of you. Now at this time of mourning for those of us you have left behind, y

We were so sorry to hear of Sheena's death. We are confident that she is now teaching line dancing to the angels. She was a wonderful caring person and it was a pleasure to know her. We will truly miss her. BOB AND GRACE ARNOLD

We came for dance lessons, but she taught us much more through her generous giving of unlimited patience, kindness & encouragement. Dear Sheena will be greatly missed!

So sorry for the loss of this sweet, talented lady. Knew her from Windsor Forest Golden Age Center and my deepest sympathy to her family.
